I just wanted to write to you and tell you what an incredible job your son has done in this ward. I don't know if he told you about the sacrament meeting that we had on Valentines Day or not, but we had four people talk and they were all people that your son had taught while he has been here and they had all been baptized while he has been here too.....as I looked up there and saw Deniece, Steve, Jenni and Irene, I could not help but feel very grateful to have had Elder Cook here in this ward. Before he came, we hadn't had a baptism in a long while. It has brought such a vitality to our ward! Thank you for preparing such a worthy young man to serve here in the Bay Area.
I asked him this morning if he was nervous about transferring and he said he was. I told him that I was nervous about him transferring too! It will be so weird not to have him here. He has actually slept in the room that he is in almost as long as our two sons that shared that room did! He will always be special to us. I would say, that on Saturday he will probably hear where he is going, so I will let you know ok?
In the meantime, I hope that all is going well with you and your family!
Much love to you all.
Donna
