Well things are going so good. The mission has never been go great! I love Elder Malani. He is the greatest! The only thing that we have a problem with is that sometimes he is too nice. Sometimes I have to tell him "Elder, I can fold my own laundry" or "Elder, its my turn to wash the dishes." He is the most charitable person that I have ever met!
Last week in church a member referred us to her neighbor, a lady named Yessica. We stopped by, and she and her family are awesome! They all took the lessons before, and were going to get baptized, but they moved. She just got out of the hospital, so we can't teach her and her family yet, but I'm excited to when she feels better.
Just a random note: Dad, I've been seeing Clean Harbor trucks a lot lately! Yay!
So, we have been focusing more on finding new investigators - since we have been baptizing all of progressing investigators! I love working with recent converts though. They are so full of light and excitement! Jennie is continuing to work on her husband. He said that he doesn't feel the need for religion in his life right now. So we are praying that they lose their house or something...just kidding that's messed up. But I think that he needs a humbling experience or something to help him see the need for the gospel.
Lately I've really grown in appreciation for the restoration, and mostly for the Book of Mormon. I love the Bible too, but as we talk with Christians, not of our faith, I can really see all that they are missing. I see the confusion and I know the solution, and wish that everyone could see the blessings of the restored gospel. I've also come to realize the importance of a prophet. Without direct revelation from God, and the authority to act in his name, of course there will be confusion! The Gospel of Jesus Christ, just makes sense! It answers all of life's questions. We are blessed.
I got a letter from Grandma Cook this week, and I laughed all the way through! She is a sweety. She explained to me how she LOVES it when she gets visitors. I wish I could be there to visit with her.
Well I love you all so much, and hope that you have an amazing week! GOOD LUCK AT STATE KENNA!!!!!
-Elder Cook
