Hey Family!
So this week went really well. We were able to find 2 super awesome new investigators! One of them is a friend of this less active girl that we have been teaching. We usually try to meet with her once a week, and every lesson we invite her to pray about someone she can share the gospel with. Last week a few hours before our lesson, she called and told us that she wanted to bring one of her friends to the lesson! His name is Matt. He is awesome. He is really open to learn more. We have a lesson with him tonight. The other new investigator is William. He requested a free Book of Mormon. He is a physically handicapped African American, who lives alone. He is a very friendly/humble guy. The first lesson we had with him, we invited him to be baptized, and he is willing to work towards knowing that the message of the Restoration is true, and get baptized.
We also had a good lesson with Rex. We talked about the importance of the sacrament, and about the covenant that we make at baptism. We invited him to be baptized on Sept. 25th and he said yes! He just needs the spiritual conformation, and he said he would "absolutely" be baptized. So we are praying that he will open up his heart, and recognize the spirit.
So things are good. I went to Oakland for the day last week, because we went on 24 hour exchanges with the Assistants. It is always fun to work in Oakland for the day! We stopped at Subway for dinner in West Oakland (one of the worst parts in Oakland) and you order your sandwich through thick bullet proof glass! The world we live in in crazy.
The gospel is true! I love you!
Good luck with starting preschool this week mom! I love you!
