Oh, I am so glad to "meet" you! Your son was a delight. And a really good eater. We had enchiladas and he ate several helpings. We are a "boy" family so the elders fit right in. We have two married sons, a son who lives at home and is going to college and a 7 year old. Last night we were babysitting our 2 year old grandson too. I asked your son if he had siblings and he said right away, "Oh yes! I'm the middle child." We then had a discussion about whether it was easier to be the oldest or the youngest. It was very funny.
If there is a special treat you think your son would like or anything he needs while he's here just let me know. My husband buys lunch for the elders each week. We own a business in town and they stop in for lunch.
Our ward is large and a really good ward. The missionaries live with our bishop and his wife. He is a great man and his wife is awesome. Our ward covers a large geographic area. You will hear names like Oakley, Brentwood, Knightsen and Bethel Island. We are not a big city ... kind of a mix between rural agricultural and neighborhoods. Most of the people in our area commute about 30 to 60 miles to their jobs. The weather here is very warm in the summer. Average is in the 90's. This is an area where the LDS people are respected and thought well of.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Laurie
