Wow, I have such a great family! I loved getting emails from everyone this week.
Mom - my back is fine! It actually felt really good this week. I'm just frustrated that I can't run, or lift heavy things. Elder C. is leaving for home on Wednesday, so I will ask him for a blessing.
Well, transfer calls came, and President wants me to be a district leader. I'm kinda scared. My new companion is Elder Bolkiem - from the Marshall Islands! He was E. Cains (my poopy trainer) old comp. from last year, and I have heard some horror stories about him. But, you can never judge. I heard bad things about Elder Czerepinski too, and he ended up being my favorite companion so far. So this transfer is going to be different and challenging, but I've been in this ward for 2.5 months now, so the members are on my side! I know the Lord will help me as I do my best. I haven't had much experience around Polynesians, so this will be fun.
Denise and Steve are doing great. Steve pushed his date back to the end of November, for unknown reasons, but tonight we are going to talk about it. He is doing good, I just think that he feels that his life needs to be perfect to be baptized. We will work with him.
Well, I'm really sad to see E. C go home. He is a great guy, and has taught me a lot!
I had a good interview with President Wade last week. We talked about Dad's surgery coming up, and I kinda just vented to him. He told me to give you his number, so that on the day of the surgery you can call him, and let him know how Dad is doing, then that day he will call me. So next Monday I'll email you his information. President Wade is a great man.
Well this week was good. I've had little experiences that God has given me, just to let me know that he is there and he loves me. We were at a restaurant eating dinner with Denise, and a member at the restaurant paid for our whole meal! The Lord is also watching out for Elder C. He really doesn't have anything when he goes home this week, but our investigator, Denise, is giving him her old car! Its older, but is in perfect running condition! She just straight up gave it to him! It was a miracle for him. The Lord loves us and watches out for us.
I was sad to hear about grandma Cluff, and just about cried when I got the email today. The Cluff Family will be in my prayers. Send them my love.
Oh yeah! I talked to Elder Williams on the phone! He is doing really good! He's lovin' it!
Well I love you all! You are always in my prayers.
-Elder Cook
