Wow, sounds like things are going great back home, it is good to hear. I'm so glad that Sis. Hock wrote you! She is the funniest/sweetest lady! We have dinner at the Hocks house every Tuesday, they are the best! She has a son that is putting in his papers right now, and told us that if she takes good care of us, then hopefully the Lord will bless her son with people that will feed him on his mission. We also have breakfast at the Halverson's every Monday morning (we are so spoiled), and yes her son got his call - he is going to San Antonio, Texas! They are excited (it will be her first missionary). It is good to be here in San Ramon. Everyone keeps telling me that I'm in the best area and it will only be downhill from here. There may be some truth to that, but the way I look at it is the Lord knows me and has blessed me with this comfortable area to adjust, and to get used to being a missionary. I find peace at knowing that I will kinda feel like I know what I'm doing, before I get put into the ghettos of Oakland! San Ramon has been good to me.
Well things are good. We have our very first interviews with President Wade this week on Wednesday! I'm excited. The work is going good. We figured out the whole big mess with Pacific, and we were right - She was never baptized! The records got all mixed up! So Bishop just call Salt Lake and cancelled her "fake membership". Crazy stuff. So she will be getting baptized - that is the good news. The bad news is, is that the date is set for Aug. 29th, and since transfers are in 2 weeks, I might not be here for it. But the important thing is, is that she is getting baptized.
Kiavosh is awesome, but all of the sudden (I'm not surprised), his work is going great, and he is to busy to meet with us. If satan cant influence him to do a bad thing, he is going to fill his life with to much of a good thing, and try to make him to busy for baptism. But we are not giving up. Our ward mission leader in the 1st ward is amazing, and is really helping us out.
We also are teaching Victoria (I may have mentioned her before). She wants to get baptized, but her husband would not be happy. We have been praying for his heart to be softened. I'm not saying this is a good thing, but just a few days ago - he lost his job. Maybe this is the door that Victoria needs! We are teaching her tomorrow, so we will see how that goes.
We had zone conference with President Wade this past week, and it was AMAZING! President Wade isn't as "fluffy" as President Beck. I love it! He encourages us to get out of our comfort zones, and randomly calls missionaries to get up and sing in front of everyone! I got the package at zone conference, and LOVED it! Thank you so much for all of the 4th of July stuff, and I loved the primary letters!
The Lord is blessing me so much with patience and charity towards Elder Cain. We actually got along really well this past week! We are both trying to stop popping our fingers. We are having a competition, so its really effective.
I love you all so much! I thought for some reason that Isaac went into the MTC on July 1st, so I've been praying for him a lot, and now I feel kinda retarded that he hasn't even left yet! So tell him that when he gets there that there are alot of prayers waiting for him! Dad - I hope you have an amazing Canada trip! That is so cool! I love you all!
