It is HOT! Not only is it hot, but add a lil' bit of humidity and it's fun. It could be worse. I could be in Florida or something! Well this week went really well! Elder Ouellette is a rock star. I've really enjoyed serving with him. Well the exciting news is a GOLDEN investigator, just dropped out of the sky, and fell into our lap! His name is Steve, and he is dating an active member in the ward. He is really looking for the truth. We are teaching him again tonight and will commit him to be baptized! Its just too exciting! We are also making a little progress with the Showers family. She had an operation on her spine this past week, so we had the relief society bring in a meal. They are waiting to receive an answer to their prayers, so we will keep working with them, and help them feel the spirit. We are also working with some potential investigators, that will hopefully become investigators soon.
Well, we had a really weird/awesome experience last week. While we were tracting, this lady (in her late 30's) opened her door, and before we could even introduce ourselves, she invited us to dinner the following night. We are complete strangers, and she wanted to feed us! She new that we were the Mormon Missionaries and that we are away from home, and work hard so she told us to come back the next night and she would feed us. So we did! We were a little nervous about going, but it turned out good. She really wasn't interested (yet...) but its good to know that there are good people out here, wanting to serve others.
Mom, I have to tell you that the little green stitch that you put in all of my socks was genius! Those little green stitches have saved me on more than one occasion. Just thought I'd let you know!
Thank you so much for the package! I like the tie! I was surprised at how fast it got here, but then it dawned on me that Jimmy Mack dropped it off! It was fine.
Well I continue to learn and grow everyday! I guess that's called life huh?! I'm learning to love the mission more and more. The hard times are in abundance, but so are the good times. If we focus on learning through the hard times instead of just enduring them, life is better! Its easier said than done, but we always have help! Christ knows us and loves us. It is exciting to think that Tyson will be home soon! He is a great example. I love you guys! Have a great week!
