Letter to Home - October 5, 2009

Hey there Family,

Well, thank you for letting me know about Dad. I feel a lot better about it and feel comforted that everything is going to be ok. Please keep me informed and keep me posted.

Well, conference was AMAZING!!! I have never enjoyed it so much, and I didn't even fall asleep even once! I didn't even doze off! I really enjoyed it. The themes that really stuck out to me were that God truly loves us, and that we must love others, and serve them. I also liked the talks on the importance of following the spirit, and having the spirit in our lives. And yes, Elder Holland's talked shook the ground! Wow, it was good. We watched conference at the stake center, except for the last session - we kinda invited ourselves over to the Showers house (A Family that is investigating) and watched it with them! It was good.

Well I got some x-rays done today, and the good news is that I don't have to come home! The bad news is that my back is messed up. the doctor hasn't seen many cases like mine. One of my legs is longer than the other and its causing the curve of my spine to distort which puts added pressure on my lower back. He says that my pain that I have now (which is bearable) shouldn't get any worse, but when I get home I need physical therapy to pretty much shift the structure of my back. Yup, fun stuff. I'm going to go in weekly to relieve pressure, but he can't fix anything in a short amount of time. He said it will probably take around 6 months to shift my back. So I am just fine. It's not going to get worse, and that's what I was afraid of.

So Steve and Denise's baptismal dates are about a month away, and they are into next transfer, but Elder C. is going home, so there is a really good chance that I will be staying in this area again - which is fine with me! In fact if I get transferred I will be surprised, but you never know what will happen.

Elder C. now has family picking him up at the airport, so all is well. He's still not to sure where he will live, so I told him I would give you our number just in case he's homeless! Just kidding.

Well I haven't seen Casey yet, but I bet he's doing great. He is in a nice area from what I hear.

Well, I love you all so much! Thank you for all the love and support you give me! I'm soooo blessed to have the best family! Have a great week!
