Thanks for all your emails. I wish that I could write you all back, but today has been kind of crazy and I'm short on time. Well, the week went good. Steve is going to be baptized on November 21st! E. Ouellette is baptizing him, and he asked me to confirm him. I'm excited for Steve. Denise is having problems. She said that she was going to get baptized on her birthday, but instead she is going to take a trip to her friends horse ranch. So we will talk to her when she gets back next week. All is well. She has too much support from the ward, and too many people praying for her to not get baptized.
Well today we had a great day up at the temple. They have already put up the Christmas lights! It was good to be in the temple and feel the spirit. We spent the day in Oakland, and just barely got back to our area. But it was a good trip.
Elder Bolkeim is still lazy, and wont say a word while we tract, but I'm still grateful that at least he comes with me to tract. I've actually learned a lot from him. I can still fulfill my purpose and do my best, even if my comp. chooses not to. I always have the support of fellow missionaries, President Wade, and most importantly the Lord.
Well, our Halloween was great! We had to be in at six o clock, so we went back to our house, and Sis Garrison let us pass out candy! We borrowed scary masks from some members and passed out candy and scared a few kids. We also got a pumpkin from a members farm and I carved it! It was fun. This week, all the members have been giving us all of their leftover Halloween candy! I'm fat.
Well we added another GOLDEN investigator! A new family moved into the ward, and they have an 18 yr old boy living with them who is a non member. His name is Mark, and he has been going to church with them for about a month. We met him last week, and before we had even taught him anything, he wants to be baptized and serve a mission! We had a great lesson with him last Sunday, and I'm excited to see him progress!
Well, I too am thankful for Sis Garrison. She takes care of me. I'm so thankful that Dads surgery went well, and that he is feeling good.
Well, I love you all so much! I have the best family in the world!
Elder Cook
