Today was a really good day. This morning in comp. study Elder Cain shared a really good scritpure in Hebrews 11:40. The JST for the scripture is amazing. It really opened my eyes about how we need to struggle in life to learn and grow, but we always know that Christ is there to strengthen us. After comp study we went to the church to use the computers to type up former investigator information, in our attempts to clean up the Area Books. It was kinda boring, but good. Then we did a bit of shopping, came to the apartment, and had lunch. After lunch we had some really good visits. First we visited a less active member named Hazel. She is awesome! She served a mission, but has had some hard times and is married now to a non-member, but still has a strong testimony and is way cool. We talked to her for a bit and set a return appointment with her and her husband. She said her husband isn't "looking" but she would love to have us in her home. So after that visit I got excited. Then we visited a former investigator and set up another return appointment. Her name is Victoria and she has been taught all of the lessons twice, but doesn't believe that there is only one true church. But she likes talking to us,so we will see what happens. Then after our visits, we started our five to seven tracting, and the first person we talked to we got another appointment! His name is Todd and he has a family and seemed interested. I hope that things work out. I think that I'm getting a bit more comfortable here on my mission. San Ramon is absolutely beautiful. It is so green here. Every house is landscaped beautifully and all of the houses are huge. It is a really safe neighborhood. Right now the weather is just about perfect. When I pictured being on my mission, I pictured knocking on doors all over tje ghettos of Oakland! I never pictured such a nice area. I hope that I don't get too comfortable here, because next thing I know I'll be transferred to West Oakland or something! I'll go wherever the Lord wants me to. I'm trying harder to trust in the Lord, and listen to the spirit. It is going to take time and a lot of hard work, but I just need to be patient and diligent have faith and trust in the Lord.
